How to Determine the Cost of Your Cake Purchase Supply fee $10 for every cake. This includes the cake mix, food coloring, frosting, etc. needed to hand decorate the cake. $5 per hour for decorating time. The least time spent on a cake was 45 minutes. The most time I have spent on a cake was 3 1/2 hours. If you present a cake idea where the decorating time may result in outrageous costs, we will sit down and determine a flat fee for your cake. *At this time, cakes are only able to be made and delivered in the state of Arizona. I am willing to travel up to 3 hours outside of the East Valley area. Anything outside of the 3 hour travel area will be charged a mileage fee of $5 per additional hour or you can schedule to pick the cake up yourself.* Occasional Cakes & Makes accepts cash and Paypal. We do not accept personal checks or credit cards at this time. The $10 supply fee will be needed as a "down payment". This will not be refundable once a cake has been made.
