Occasional Cakes and Makes was something that just flew out of someone's mouth one night and well... I've never turned back! I began hand decorating cakes several years ago for friends' birthdays, my own birthdays, family members' birthdays, sporting events, etc. It was just a hobby until people really started taking notice in the unique-ness of my cakes. Upon presenting my friend with her Eeyore birthday cake in July of 2011, she mentioned that I should publicize my cakes and call them Occasional Cakes. All was great, but I didn't want to stop there. I had been beading jewelry for several years and had been making hand made crafts/gifts for the holidays for the past couple of years. Why not publicize that too? Hence, came forth Occasional Cakes & Makes! I am a 28 year old married mother of two wonderful children. I work outside of the home as an independent contractor; I work from home as an independent consultant; I work from home as the owner of Occasional Cakes & Makes; and I am a full time college student working towards my Master's degree! |
